rehab

visiting Sherry in rehab... she's doing so great...her days are filled with physical therapy, occupational theraphy, speech therapy..etc... shes getting stronger everyday. Walking with the walker, being able to support herself on her right foot, talking- her trach site is almost closed. She's able to make sense of what has happened to her, and she has said that she is very hopeful in her future.....she said she'd still wear dresses with her prosthetic....i laughed..Her anticipated date for discharge is in about a week.....wow....thats soon... We'll see what happens this week....much encouragement is needed during meals....she still has her feeding tube in...and we need that out before she can leave.
