waking up

I left my sister on Saturday. Which was the day she was the most alert and awake that whole week. She could open her eyes squeeze my hands and intermittently have a short conversation with me via her note pad and pen. I felt a little less hesitant about leaving her this time. She's recovering slowly, taking it day by day... She's fighting a nuance of a fever and infection.. The other up sides? She's taking encouragement very well, trying to stay awake, getting up to the side of the bed, doing her leg exercise...the next milestone? Passing her swallow eval...
